About Me
TDLive event production and multimedia has been an interest of mine since I was a kid. My dad always had the latest gadgets around the house from computers to video camcorders. I learned early on that communication and expression through media was something that came natural. Technical troubleshooting became a natural every-day process with all these computers laying around the house. Each project that has evolved in to a job has always lead to the next skill-set of interest. It has become important to me to strive to be a swiss army knife in production and design. It kills me every time I reach a situation at a show or project where I don't know the solution. Not knowing how to do something drives me to figure out the answer right away.
It has become important to me to strive to be a swiss army knife in production and design.
I have worked in various roles and industries gaining perspective from many angles. I spent time building a foundation of skills in live theater and TV production as the Media Manager at GTaustin Church, while also freelancing as a live-sound and recording engineer. Learning from true pioneers in the industry, I spent time in the Ballpark Entertainment group of the front-office of the Houston Astros Baseball Club. I learned what it meant to engage an audience on a massive scale while combining my love of baseball and live production, along the way being recognized with awards from IDEA (Information Display and Entertainment Association). I was privilaged to produce content and direct video board production for memorable events including Craig Biggio's 3000th hit as well as Jeff Bagwell's retirement ceremony. I then spent formative years on staff at Baylor University as the Assistant Director of BaylorVision, working in Athletics and University Marketing, earning Addy and IDEA awards. Returning to Austin in 2009 I served on staff at Earl Miller Productions working with a variety of clients in sports and entertainment, including producing and editing features for ESPN in Russia for the World University Games. Throughout and in-between I have also spent time touring the US and internationally, Tour Managing and fulfilling FOH audio/Production duties for touring bands. With Blue Scout Media I have lead graphics production, performed broadcast audio mixes for artists like Skillet, TobyMac, Jeremy Camp, and Sidewalk Prophets, as well as lead post production efforts for projects including a Live DVD for Randy Rogers Band.
